I painted this piece, “Narratives, 2023.” for the Art Exhibition in Canberra, The Day of The Death 2023. It’s a personal reflection on the epic journey of life as I perceive it—bursting with color, myriad stories, choices, and diverging paths. While it may appear chaotic, there’s a harmonious undercurrent that ties it all together.The interplay of lights is intentional, representing the prevalence of happiness triumphing over sorrow. I employed various materials, incorporating gesso layers and acrylic paintings to infuse different textures and depths into the canvas. Measuring an expansive 150 cm by 50 cm, I chose this size to convey the vastness of my emotions and experiences during the transformative year of 2023.
